Prologue
The first day was cancelled by Iceland Air a few weeks in advance, which also forced us to cancel our pre-booked whale watching adventure. After that, the flight was changed 3 more times, so we were anxious when we could finally depart...

Epilogue
Fortunately, the next day everything goes smoothly. We have breakfast around 4.20am as the bus comes at 4.50am to bring us to the airport. Excellent breakfast buffet, we get to the airport and this time the plane leaves and around 1pm we land in Schiphol. We wait quite a long time for the luggage and then we see our taxi driver and he brings us safely home.
So far, our most beautiful trip has been the one to Western Canada in 2009, but we really have to reconsider that because Iceland is a true paradise and has such a diversity of landscapes and nature that everyone must see it...
