Padinago's trip to Iceland in 2023

Day 04 - Exploring Snaefellsnes peninsula

Breakfast at 7am at the hotel and then we drive to our first stop, the Glanni falls.
Then we drive to Grabrok where we walk to the top of the crater. Beautiful but extremely windy, difficult to stand still.
Then a short walk to the beautiful Kirkjufellsfoss. Driving through the lava rocks formation to Olafsvik with a special church (Olafsvikurkirkja).
Then we drive to Svodufoss where we have a nice encounter with some Icelandic wild horses.
Then a little drive to Ingjaldsholskirkja. Afterwards we pass the Saxholl crater where we just take some pictures, but no walk because of Patrick’s back pain. Then up to the cliffs of Longdrangar, Hellnar and Arnarstapi for some short walks.
We pass the Bjarnafoss and drive to Gerduberg basalt columns.
Then we drive back to Borgarness, getting some fuel and a hot shower at the hotel. Dinner around 8pm at hotel.”
