As from today, every morning we check the website "www.icebergfinder.com” to see where we can spot icebergs from the shore. Apparently it seems to be a very useful help and we use it to adapt our daily route!

Around 7.30am we have breakfast at Fisherman’s Landing and take some lunch with us for later on.

We check out of the hotel and leave for Gander but take the exit to Leading Tickles where, according to the icebergfinder, we will see our first icebergs. It is quite a detour as we will have to add about 3 hours to today’s drive but we are willing to do this as long as we will see icebergs! And… yes, we are lucky today!

Once we arrive at Diamonds Pond we see a moose along the road. We stop to take some pictures and drive on. When we arrive at Leading Tickles we walk to the pebble beach and after a short walk we see, behind the rocks, our first icebergs! They are still far away but it is so beautiful to watch.

After having enjoyed this we drive back to the main road and on towards Gander.

We check in at the hotel and get ready for dinner.

Around 7pm we are at the hotel's restaurant, Mistic where the food is amazing and the waitress is fantastic, we made a friend for life! ;-)

After dinner, as early as possible to bed, because tomorrow we have an appointment in Twillingate for a boat trip to icebergs…
